Blast from the Past. Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson Reunite in Exclusive ‘Good Burger 2 Teaser scaled

Step into a nostalgic blast from the past as Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson reunite in the exclusive teaser for ‘Good Burger 2’. Over 25 years since their debut in the original ‘Good Burger’, the dynamic duo is back to serve up laughter and memories.

In the teaser unveiled by Paramount+ and Nickelodeon Studios, the unsuspecting Dexter Reed (Thompson, 45) finds himself in an unexpected collision with Ed (Mitchell, 44), landing in the iconic burger mobile. A quick exchange follows as Dexter humorously exclaims, “Hey man, you almost car-burgered me to death!” Ed fires back, “The new adventures of Ed and Dex starts now!”

The scene transitions to the beloved fictional restaurant, where Ed, Dexter, and the crew recite the iconic line, “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can we take your order?” – a catchphrase etched into the memories of fans.

‘Good Burger 2’ takes us into the present day, following the escapades of Dexter and Ed, the original standout cashier. The two reunite at the fast-food haven with a fresh group of quirky employees. Dexter, facing setbacks due to his failed inventions, returns to Good Burger, reuniting with Ed and his old job. As they navigate the hilarious challenges of their new crew, Dex’s attempts to regain his footing inadvertently put the fate of Good Burger at risk once more.

The roots of ‘Good Burger’ trace back to the ‘90s Nickelodeon comedy series ‘All That’, where Kel Mitchell’s character, Ed, was a lovable yet inadvertently clumsy employee at the fast-food joint. Together with Kenan Thompson and others, they created memorable moments through Ed’s interactions with various characters.

Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson revealed the sequel news on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ in March, sparking excitement among fans. Their reunion, both on-screen and as co-producers, promises to deliver the same magic. The movie, co-produced by Mitchell and Thompson, also features a talented ensemble cast including Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, and returning All That cast members.

Kel Mitchell shared his enthusiasm for the project, expressing how great it was to reunite with his “homie” Kenan Thompson. The actor emphasized the film’s quality and the delight of fans, promising a fantastic script and exciting cameos.

‘Good Burger 2’, directed by Phil Traill and co-written by Kevin Kopelow, Heath Seifert, and James III, is set to premiere exclusively on Paramount+ this fall. The film marks the reunion of two beloved comedic figures and offers a chance for both devoted fans and new audiences to relish in the laughter and joy that ‘Good Burger’ brings.
